I decided to add this section because friends and family often ask me for recommendations. “What’s the best cookbook to start with other than reading your blog recipes?” or “is this a good *insert kitchen tool name here*?” Or what I workout with etc. So I decided to do a roundup of some amazing books, kitchen gadgets, and other things that I feel have made a very positive impact in my life. I hope they inspire you too! I’ve also added a few items that are on my personal wish list because they inspire me too, but haven’t fit into the budget yet. Ya know?

- Sam’s Club “Tangerine” Brand Activewear. Seriously, the quality/price point is unbeatable. ESPECIALLY the leggings!
- Danskin (aka Walmart) Workout Tanks – these have lasted me years!
- Brooks Running Shoes/Athletic Shoes. Pricey, but absolutely worth it. I’ve used them since my distance running (35+ miles per week) days.

This book is truly the SIMPLE way to get your life together. Emily Ley has a way of writing like a close friend who is non-judgmental, helpful. AND there’s a section on simplified finances too!

The book that began our financial journey. If you haven’t seen my resources page, check that out here for FREE suggestions too.

This apron is so pretty it actually makes me want to clean. Yes….you read that right. But it’s Kate Spade, affordable (
The Instant Pot is basically the kitchen holy grail. While it doesn’t always mean faster cooking time, you can “set it and forget it” while doing other things

Once you get used to it, a cast iron skillet is basically the only pan you will ever need. Not really, but a cast iron skillet will last you your entire life. LOVE mine.

I highy recommend a yoga mat for at home stretching, pilates, yoga practice and more. Mine is a slightly thicker one so it’ll last, but it won’t break the bank!

Wireless headphones are amazing! And no, you don’t need Air Pods to get a good workout in. But once you try working out with wireless headphones, you’ll NEVER want to go back. EVER.

Good shoes are key. I love thrifting clothes at Goodwill or ThredUp but shoes need serious consideration. My previous Brooks gave me 7 great years, and I love my new pair.

A coffee pot that can be set is a game changer. Waking up to fresh coffee instantly makes the morning better.

TASTY Paleo meals in 45 minutes or less. I love all of Mel Joulwan’s cookbooks, but this one is my favorite.
Great for fancier healthy food. Be warned that some of the recipes can get pricy, but they are for special occasions. It’s also just a beautiful book.

For the nerdy foodies. You are my people. Just go click and read the description because I cannot do it justice.
