Beauty Empties April 2017

I have been meaning to type this post up for quite awhile, but just never managed to get photos. These beauty empties are the products I’ve completely used up. I think these reviews are by far the most beneficial because you know a persons thoughts throughout the cycle of the product. My thoughts changed on some of these as I used them, but I’m getting ahead of myself….

These are my empties, now onto the reviews!

  • Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara: This was a total flashback for me. I used this religiously in high school, but couldn’t remember the last tube I’d had of this. I decided to buy it again and I go really like it! It’s a very basic mascara though, to me there isn’t anything amazingly special about it. Id repurchase again though, becuase the price is great and the product is reliable.
  • Physicians Formula Eye Booster Serum Eyeliner: I found this thatnks to EmilyNoel83 on YouTube. Her reviews are honest, thorough and have never steered me wrong…until now. She called this eyeliner a dupe for the Kat Von D liquid liners (which are amazing but are $20 a pop) and I was super exited. This was $10, which is quite expensive for drugstore, but half the cost of the KVD. The first time I used this it was watery and grey-ish. It definitely got better within the first few uses, but never remotely compared to the Kat Von D eyeliner. I also don’t think it was worth $10, but the packaging was quite nice so maybe that’s where some cost came from. Regardless, I wouldnt’ repurchase this or recommend to anyone.
  • Maybelline Lash Sensational False Lash Effect:  I LOVED the original (pink tube) Maybelline Lash Sensational {link!}  so much. I had gone through three tubes of that, and then I saw that this version came out. Decided to give it a try, but it became very difficult to take off of my eyelashes. Many lashes were pulled out on accident. I wouldn’t repurchase this, but probably will the orignal formula.

Skin & Body Care

  • Secret Clinical Strength Antipersperant: I really like this! I also really like the size of the tube; it’s easy to bring around in my purse. That said, it’s pretty pricey and I don’t quite think it’s worth the cost. I might change my mind after going back to “regular” deoderant but time will tell. I bought the Sam’s Club pack so I’ve got a few more to use up first.
  • Mario Badescu Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 17 {link!} – I really, really, really like this stuff. If you have a budget that allows you to spend $18 on a moisturizer then I’d recommend trying if you’ve got normal/combo/oily skin. With that, I’m trying to find less expensive options for my current skincare. So for now I won’t be repurchasing (also I HAVE found an awesome alternative!), but would love to in the future.

I hope that the empties reviewed give you some insight into these products; I know they are my favorite to read/watch.
